The Syrian Ministry of Awqaf has appointed Sheikh Fathi Ahmed Safi, who passed away on Thursday afternoon after suffering long suffering with the disease.

Sheikh al-Safi is an Islamic scholar who was born in Damascus in 1954. In 1995, he received the Imam of the Mosque of the Forty in Damascus, and was a preacher at the Hanbala Mosque in the Syrian capital.

Sheikh Safi was a writer and a teacher in the forensic sciences, in the mosque of Karsousa al-Kabeer in Damascus and in some other mosques. He presented himself in a simple dialect, in which he narrated real-life stories in a spontaneous, smooth and humorous manner. This increased the interaction of people with his religious lessons, .
