The Syrian news agency reported on Sunday quoting a Syrian military source that the news that the Syrian army was using a chemical weapon in the town of Kubani in rural Lattakia is false.

A military source said that "terrorist groups and some of its media, and as always after any defeat hoped for, a false news story about the Syrian army's use of chemical weapons in the town of Kubani."

The source stressed that "the General Command of the army and the armed forces completely deny these news and confirm that they are completely naked, stressing at the same time that they continue to fight terrorism and uprooting it until the last atom cleared from the soil of Syria."

An official source in the Foreign Ministry told SANA that the ministry confirms the statement issued by the General Command of the army and the armed forces categorically deny these news in full and that it is totally baseless.

The source explained that Damascus had cooperated fully with the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, which considered Syria free of these weapons.

The source concluded by saying that his country confirms that it has not used these weapons previously, and can not use them now because they do not already possess, and because they consider the use of such poisonous weapons contrary to their moral and international obligations.

At the same time, he stressed that such empty and open media outlets will not deter them from continuing their war against terrorism, so as to restore security and security to its people on all of Syria.
