Study reveals the risk of eating more than one egg a day!

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – Eating more than one egg per day increases the risk of a heart attack or stroke, a new study showed.

The study included 30 000 adults with an average age of 51.6, who ate more than a large egg and a half egg per day, and found that the risk of cardiovascular disease increased by 17%.

"Even for people who eat healthy meals, the harmful effect of increased consumption of eggs and cholesterol has been constant," said Professor Katharine Tucker of the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and despite the beneficial nutrients found in eggs, I recommend individuals to avoid eating 3 eggs a day.

"Nutrition is about moderation and balance, a strong study because it adapts to factors such as the quality of the diet." Eggs, especially yolks, are a major source of dietary cholesterol, and the egg contains about 186 mg of cholesterol.

The study was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
