Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti has confirmed his team's goal is to win the Italian Cup this season, before Benfento's match in the trophy.
The Nerazzurri will face Benfento tonight at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, in the 16-match Italy Cup.
Spalletti said in comments quoted by the network "Football Italy": "We saw last year, these games can have some risks, but the team learned from the experience last season."
"Now we have a stronger mentality and we're going to try to get even better in this game," he said. "They have a well-trained coach and they have good players, so they can cause us some problems."
"We have also seen in the cup competitions in England and France that the big clubs can get out of the competition, Benventu beat Udinese before we meet, so we know how difficult and important that match is."
"It will look like an exercise, because without the fans, we will lose a great deal of emotion."
"The Italian Cup is our goal after coming out of the Champions League, and we are able to do so because there are fewer matches before qualifying for the final."
