Cairo - (Masrawy):

Sudan's transitional military council said Monday that the National Congress Party (NCP), which belongs to ousted President Omar al-Bashir, would not participate in the next interim government, Sky News reported.

The Council called on the political forces to present their vision of the transitional period within a week, while the meeting was absent, representatives of the forces of the declaration of freedom and change.

Following a meeting between the military junta and the national dialogue parties, the Council also declared its support for an independent prime minister.

The meeting was preceded by the announcement of the abolition of laws restricting freedoms, and allowing the media to operate without restrictions.

The gathering of professionals, the architect of the demonstrations in Sudan, demanded the immediate handover of power to a compatible civilian government, running the interim period, with a civilian transitional council, under the protection of the armed forces.

The group vowed to continue the sit-in to achieve the objectives of the popular movement.

The official spokesman of the Transitional Military Council in Sudan, Lieutenant General Shamseddine Kabbashi Ibrahim, ruled out the sit-in in front of the army headquarters by force, stressing the Council's keenness on the safety of civilians.

The spokesman revealed new arrangements for the restructuring of the intelligence services and the police.
