Egypt's Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, was named the best player of the club in December.
Salah scored seven goals in eight games and four assists in December and helped his team qualify for the Champions League.
Three goals ahead of Bournemouth at the Premiership and a few days later leads his team to the second round of the Champions League against Napoli at Anfield, before scoring three points for the Reds against Wolverhampton in the Premier League again, and signing up against Newcastle and Arsenal, helping Reds lead the championship.
Salah said to the official website: "I think this month was good for everyone, I am happy with what I did, my happiness for the team in winning the matches is the most important thing for me and for all players."
"Now we need to continue to progress, we have to show a strong reaction to tomorrow's game after the defeat of Manchester City, it will be a very good game for sure."
On his favorite goal in December, Salah said: "Certainly my goal against Napoli, the most important game of this period, I am happy that I scored the goal of qualification."
"I am always happy with individual prizes, and I always work to win collective and individual prizes, especially the best in Africa."
"Sadio Mani also deserves to be the best, I have made an exceptional season, it was fantastic and showed an incredible level".
Salah won the African Player of the Year award for the second time in a row 2018 and 2019, beating his teammate Sadio Mani.
