Senegal striker Sadio Mani has confirmed his international teammate Mohamed Salah's record of the best in Africa.
For the second consecutive year, Salah managed to outperform Mani in the African Golden Ball after winning the trophy on Tuesday.
Liverpool's official website, the Senegalese player's remarks about Salah: "Honestly he deserves the award, he has made an exceptional season with the team and was able to score a lot of critical goals."
"I'm certainly happy for him, unfortunately I could not win the prize, but there's no problem, I'll make an extra effort, and maybe win it last year.
Mani is preparing to lead the Liverpool attack with Salah in the face of Brighton in the 22nd round of the Premier League on Saturday.
