Italian club Roma, with Juventus, are competing for a special deal to strengthen the midfield position.
According to the Italian website Calcio Mercato, Munci, Rome's sporting director, has turned his attention to Ivorian midfielder Hamid Junior Traore, midfielder Empoli.
Traore is 18 years old in the new Cerrove, compared to former Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf.
Roma will face fierce competition from Juventus, along with Sampdoria, and will have to move quickly to join the young star, who is expected to have a lot of potential for future growth, the report said.
