Record of Russian Kononenko in the International Space Station

Russian astronaut Oleg Kononenko has set a record for staying aboard the International Space Station [ISS], with a total of 737 days remaining.

Oleg Kononenko managed to break the previous record in this field and return to Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malinchenko, who stayed at the ISS for 702 days.

Kononenko returned to Earth from the International Space Station at 5.47 am on June 25 Moscow time.

Over the next several weeks, doctors will monitor the health status of astronaut Kununenko, and then plan to go to a Sochi sanatorium for a period of rehabilitation.
