MADRID (Reuters) – Monaco have signed a contract with Spanish international Cesc Fabregas during the current transfer period.
The French club announced on its official website, signing with the Spanish star, before the end of his contract with Chelsea six months.
Fabregas was a goal for AC Milan but decided to play under French coach Thierry Henry, his former teammate at Barcelona and Arsenal.
"We are delighted to welcome you to Monaco Cesc, a player of the highest caliber and a professional and shows greater ambition for the club," the club said on its official website.
"It is clear that this reinforcement to our midfield is very good for the team, but we are confident that its experience at the highest level on what it brings to players on the pitch and off the field."
