Mauritania welcomed the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud to his brothers the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab states to hold two Arab Gulf and Arab summits on May 30.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mauritania in a statement issued on Sunday, the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to gather the word and strengthen Arab unity in light of the delicate circumstances experienced by the region.

King Abdullah called for holding two Gulf and Arab summits in Mecca on May 30 to "consult and coordinate with brotherly countries in order to enhance security and stability in the region in light of recent attacks on the kingdom and the UAE."
