The king of Malaysia, Sultan Mohamed V, married former Miss Russia, Oksana Vojvodina, at a legendary wedding in Moscow, Russia.
The 49-year-old Sultan married Vojvodina, 25, and held a party in a luxury property complex in the Russian capital, the Daily Mail reported.
The newspaper pointed out that reports of the conversion of Miss Russia Islam earlier this year. Voivodina, the daughter of a doctor, formerly a fashion designer in China and Thailand, was crowned Miss Russia in 2015.
The ceremony was characterized by a lack of alcoholic beverages. The king wore a traditional costume in Malaysia, while the bride was decorated with a white dress. According to media sources, the former beauty queen graduated from the Faculty of Business at the Russian University of Economics, noting that she converted to Islam on April 16, 2018. It is expected to change the name of Vojvodina in Kuala Lumpur to "Rihana Oksana Gorbatenko."
Sultan Mohammed V, born in 1969, is the fifteenth king of Malaysia, where he took office in December 2016.
