The Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance admitted to spying on social networks. “We are looking forward to the establishment of a second Ministry of Guidance to monitor social networks,” said Abbas Salehi.

"A three-year plan has been drawn up for the establishment of a second extension ministry. This plan consists of 71 steps," Abbas Salehi said, according to the website of Iran International. He gave no further details.

The Iranian Minister of Culture justified that the need for governmental organizations to adapt to the new circumstances, saying: "Cyberspace is the end of the world and the beginning of a new world."
