Google recognizes its mistake and compensates users of its phones

Google has acknowledged manufacturing defects in the first generation of Pixel phones released about three years ago.

Google agreed to settle the lawsuit brought against it by Pixel-1 users, who confirmed that "the company deliberately sold them phones with microphones have defects during manufacturing."

According to the lawsuit, defects in microphones were found on the Pixel and Pixel XL phones produced in January 2017, which affected the quality of voice calls in those phones and the voice assistant function.

While awaiting court judgment, Google indicated that it may have to pay $ 500 to each of its affected phone owners, and it could cost $ 7.25 million to settle the case with users.

This is not the first settlement Google has reconciled with its phone users. In April, it agreed to pay $ 9.75 million in damages to users of the Nexus 6P, which had manufacturing flaws.
