Angolan Sebastiao Gilberto, a retired Al Ahly player, has been keen to send a message of support to Mohamed Mahmoud, the playmaker, after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.
Mahmoud, who has recently joined Al Ahly from the Tigris Valley, will be out of the team for at least 6 months due to injury sustained during his previous match in the Egyptian league against Smouha.
Gilberto posted his personal account on the Twitter social networking site: "Hello Mohamed Mahmoud. I know that the situation is not easy for you but you have to be strong."
"In the past I had a similar injury and people said I would not play again, but I was stronger than before."
"Do not be afraid and be strong and will come back to play, God willing, after six months."
