The French physician Elizabeth Suvaget, head of the ENT department at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Paris, advised those suffering from a reflux to go away for a few days from dairy products, especially lactose, to irritate the area.
The fiber found in fruits, vegetables, bread, almonds and walnuts is one of the best foods against esophageal reflux.

She stressed the need to stay away from eating salty foods that reduce the pressure of the muscle juice on the pharynx and increase the risk of reflux, and refrain from eating fatty meals, especially at night and drink, and away from soft drinks and chocolates.
