China launches 46th satellite of its navigational system

China successfully launched on Tuesday [June 25th] the 21st satellite of the modern Baidu-3 satellite navigation system.

The satellite was launched at 2.09 local time from the Chinese space station Sichan in the southwest of the country on a Chinese Chang'an-3 rocket, the China Institute of Space Science and Technology announced on its official Web site Wechat.

The construction of China's Baidu satellite system will be completed by 2020, he said, adding that China has deployed in Earth orbit three generations of satellite navigation satellites, Baidu-1, Baidu-2 and Baidu-3, Satellite and provides accurate identification of coordinates.

The satellite, which was launched today, has become the 21st satellite of the Baidu-3 generation and the 44th Baidu satellite in general.
