A Russian company launches a system that recognizes actors while watching movies

The Russian company Kino Boysk has launched DeepDiv technology to identify actors in films and serials.

The technology is based on computer vision algorithms developed by Russian company Yandex.

A spokesman for the company said that the Internet user could press while watching a movie on the "stop" button, telling him the system of the actor's on-screen biography and his creative journey.

For example, the technology can identify actor Robert Downey in "The Iron Man," which was released in 2008, and in "The Avengers," which was released 10 years later. The system does not make a mistake in recognizing the face of Zoe Sladano in the movie "Galaxy Guards", despite its green color.

The technology can identify not only the name of the actor, but also the role or character he plays in the film, and provides an overview of the personality and relationships with other actors.

According to information provided by Keno Boycek, DeepDiv is successfully working on 150 films and composers that can be viewed on site and its applications on Samsung and LG TVs.
